About Housing Services
Housing Services is a non-profit organization administering the Salt Lake County Home Improvement Program. The program offers 3% interest loans for home repairs up to $15,000.
Senior Citizens and Disabled Persons
Senior Citizens (62 years or older) and disabled persons may qualify for a "0" interest deferred loan.
What Can the Loan Be Used For?
Loans may be used for repairs on owner occupied homes. Repairs may include roof, plumbing, heating, electrical and other general repairs.
Magna Residents
The Housing Improvement Program has established a special target area in Magna where qualified individuals may receive loans up to $24,999.

Repayment Period / Sample Payments
The repayment period for the Housing Rehabilitation Load is ten (10) years. Sample payments at 3% are as follows:
- $5,000 loan requires a monthly payment of $48.30 for ten years
- $10,000 loan requires a monthly payment of $96.60 for ten years
- $15,000 loan requires a monthly payment of $144.90 for ten years
